Happy Day 0, Fellow AP Readers (In-Person and Distributed)! Tom and I will be leading the Themed Shirt Days event starting tomorrow.
Each day, we will post the theme for the day. Comment on the Facebook "Shirt of the Day" post by MIDNIGHT CENTRAL(KC) TIME with a picture of you in your themed shirt. We will randomly select one winner each night to win a prize. “See” you tomorrow for Hometown Shirt Day!
The themes are:
Saturday, Day 1 (6/11)- Hometown Shirt
Sunday, Day 2 (6/12)- Geeky Shirt
Monday, Day 3 (6/13)- Sports/Jersey Day
Tuesday, Day 4 (6/14)- Red, White, and Blue Day
Wednesday, Day 5 (6/15)- Stats Shirt/Reading shirt
Thursday, Day 6 (6/16)- Super Hero/Character Day
Friday, Day 7 (6/17)- Tropical Shirt Day

June 10: On-site readers travel to KC. Apparel Distribution Party - Nicolas Simonetti and Diego Bush. Details - TBA.
June 11 (Day 1) – Hometown Shirt Day, Reader reception (7-8 pm) in Hall B. Geocaching - 6pm near the water fountains in front of the Marriott. We have created a special "Adventure Lab" that will be introduced at the event but can be played on your own free time any time after the event. Questions? Tag Kevin DeVizia.
June 12 (Day 2) – Geeky Shirt Day, AP Program reception (7-8pm)
June 13 (Day 3) – Favorite Sports Team Shirt Day, Fun Run – Come out for the 1.96-mile 95% Confidence Fun Run! Predict how long it will take you to walk/run 1.96 miles. The most accurate finisher wins a nerdy statistics prize! Are you reading remotely? Walk/run 1.96 miles during the reading week and log your run on our google sheet. We will also select a remote winner at random from among those who participate.

June 14 (Day 4) – Red, White, and Blue Shirt Day
June 15 (Day 5) – Statistics Shirt/Reading Shirt, Casino trip – The applied probability trip to Harrah’s North Kansas City is on June 15th. Want to attend? Meet in front of the Marriott Hotel after the reading day ends. Groups will need to organize and order Ubers. Use the Facebook reader page to coordinate groups! Groups can return as early or as late as they want. Questions? Tag Jennifer Mueller.
June 16 (Day 6) – Super Hero/Character Shirt Day, Best Practices - Best Practices will be held virtually. Stay posted for a link from Bridget Matamoros.
June 17 (Day 7) – Tropical/Beach Shirt Day, Funstravaganza (7pm) – Come early to select your seat, have drinks, and socialize. We need both remote and in-person readers who would like to participate! Reach out to June Beighley or Justin Grieves to get connected!

Themed Shirt Contest!
We are having themed shirt days again this year! This activity is for in-person and at-home readers. Post a picture of yourself wearing the day’s theme (or a meme/cartoon or some other image) on the Facebook “Shirt of the Day” post, hosted by Tara Truesdale and Tom Rothery. At the end of each day, they will select a winner at random from all the submissions. Winners will receive a nerdy Statistics prize! Be sure to post your picture/cartoon ON the “Shirt of the Day” post on the 2022 Facebook Reader page.
