Last week Ricky Yip kindly showed me some appreciation with the “PAWsitivity Award”.

I must say, having it in the Career Center kept me positive throughout the first week of school. ☺ Thank you!

Today I get to pass it along to another Bearcat!!!

I felt moved to choose a specific teacher who demonstrates positivity even during the most challenging circumstances.

Her smile and laugh make those around her feel lighter. She can even make an IEP fun!

Her students and team are SO lucky to have such a “PAWsitive” teacher to work with.

I am talking of course about Sheri Dill!

Bearcat Pawsitivity Award 2021

I was given the honor to present the first Bearcat Pawsitivity Award.  I happily selected Kelly O'Grady.  Kelly does an amazing job with our school's Career Center.  She also provides support for our afterschool tutoring program.  Before school closure, Kelly led Career Day, it is a meaningful and important day for our students to explore their interests.  All of those duties come on top of her dance instructions and coaching our amazing D-Street Dance Team.  In our short time in-person last year, Kelly led her dance teams to win both dancing competitions.  I always love the D-Street performances, I know they practice outside in 100 degree heat, in the rain, and do a lot of their filming at night.  For years, I have admired Kelly's creativity, professionalism, and strong sense of quiet confidence.  No wonder the students call Kelly O.G. the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time).  Congratulations, Kelly!  Have another great year.  (From 8/19/2021)
