Retro Game Played - Luigi's Mansion

I've wanted to play this game when it was originally released in 2001.  However, I never owned a Nintendo Game Cube.  I recently have been diving into the Nintendo 3DS library and this game was a very fun playthrough.  It is just the right length for me.  I am having a hard time playing games that are too long or too difficult.  The 3DS version was released in 2018.  (Completed in December 2021).

Retro Game Played - Fire Emblem: Awakening

I was hooked on this game after the first hours of play.  This was a fun playthrough during the first week of my winter break.  The game mechanics remind me of the cheese turn-based games that I played as a child with my mom.  Fire Emblem plays a lot like Advance Wars.  I look forward to playing FE Fates and Three Houses in the near future.  Awakening is one of the best games I've completed and it's one of the best games on the Nintendo 3DS system.

Released in Japan in 2012 and in US in 2013.  (Completed 12/23/2021)

Hello,

 

As we leave for break, my hope is that you can disconnect, unwind, and spend time with your loved ones. Please take the next two weeks and find some time to rest and care for yourself. So much great work has been done in the last four months, and you more than deserve the downtime.

 

There is no greater purpose than sharing our lives with others, and I am proud to work, learn, and grow alongside every one of you. You are all difference-makers, and as a result, BUSD is a great place for kids. 

 

I hope everyone has a safe and peaceful holiday break.

This is a game with many short puzzles ranging in difficult levels.  It's a fun play through and I plan to try others in this series.  Released originally in the US in February 2007.  (Completed December 2021)

Happy Thursday before winter break!  We’re almost there!!

 

Thank you so much Kari for the pawsitivity award.  Such a small thing and it means a lot.

 

It was not easy for me to choose who to send this on to.  We have so many pawsitive people on this campus!  This person ended up standing out in my mind because she brightens not only my day, but everyone else she comes in contact with.  She is always willing to lend a helping hand, assist wherever needed.  She believes there is a solution for every problem, and she is willing to take the time to figure it out.  She is patient and caring with the students.  She offers a listening ear and a pawsitive outlook on every situation. 

With much appreciation for her pawsitive spirit, this award goes to Shannon Prestella!

 

Thank you Shannon for all you do to support our teachers, our students and the mental health of this school.  You help make Bonita a pawsitive place to work and go to school!
