College Pennant Updated

September 2017

Thank you, ASB for making me a new college pennant. Although I miss Peter the Anteater, I love the colors of the new pennant. Zot zot zot!

From December 2014 - the colors have faded over the past 3 years.

Dig Pink 2018

About a dozen members of the girls volleyball teams are my current and former students. They are athletic, intelligent, and overall wonderful citizens on campus. Each year they host Dig Pink, a charity event to support breast cancer research/awareness. It takes place during a home match this year on Wednesday Oct. 4. This year's shirt is designed by my former student Leila. I love the wonderful design.

ASAP - Mile 39

A Shoe Adoption Project Update - By collaborating with the student leaders at Bonita High School and the University of Houston Basketball program, we will be sending 12 pairs of new shoes to aid the victims of Hurricane Harvey. This is our tenth and largest batch of donation, it includes six pairs for males and six pairs for females. The BHS community are also sending five huge boxes of t-shirts as requested by Coach Sampson of the University of Houston. (See link: Houston's Head Basketball Coach Sampson's Call for Relief). Shipping costs will be sponsored by the several members of the Bonita High School faculty, including myself. We thank the following organizations who supported this mission. UPS in La Verne gave us a discounted shipping rate. Big 5 in Chino Hills gave me an additional discount on these clearance shoes. Above all, a special thanks to our Bonita ASB Director Mrs. Bowman and her student leadership for making it happen. This is the time when the Houston community are in need of the most basic goods as they rebuild their lives. We hope our small donation can help bring them closer to normalcy. Thank you to all of the donors, supporters, and friends of this project.

Thank you, Sophia and Gia (again)

A week after giving me yummy brownies, Sophia and Gia again gave me more treats. This time, it is a warm freshly baked banana nut bread. There goes my diet. Thanks for keeping me heavy and slow.

Thank you, Sophia and Gia

Thank you for the delicious chocolate brownies. My students keep me well-fed. Sophia and Gia are twins who are in two separate sections of my Pre-Calculus course. I have only known them for a few weeks. I see that they are respectful and hard-working. Over the years of teaching, I have had many pairs of twins. This year, I have three pairs of twins in my classes.

Thank you, Mackenzie

Thank you, Mackenzie, for this "funnel cake with a happy face". Mackenzie is a highly trained ballerina in addition to being an awesome student. She was in my Pre-Calculus class last year and she's in my AP Statistics class this year. She made this for me from her foods class. It was delicious. Now I don't need to go to the LA County Fair.
