Pawsitivity Award #6

Good morning everyone,

Last week I received the PAWsitivity award and I am so excited to pass it on today!

The person that I feel deserves this award is someone who joined the Bearcat family not too long ago. She is someone who works hard to ensure that her lessons are fun, engaging, and diverse. Her attention to detail and willingness to jump in and help anyone in need is exemplary. She took over yearbook last year and senior English lead this year, which is no easy task. She does everything with a smile on her face and a positive attitude.

I am honored to present Beth Oualline with this award! Thank you Beth for all you do and being “pawsitive” while doing it. We appreciate you so much!

Krispy Kreme from Ryle

I told my students the following a day after my mom passed away: During the last days of visiting my mom at the City of Hope, I purchased some Krispy Kreme donuts for the nurses to thank them for all that they do.  While struggling to speak many words, one of the few things that my mom told me was to make sure to get some for the night shift crew.  The next day, Ryle said he had something for me.  This is one of the most personal gifts I've ever received in my career as a teacher.  Thank you Ry.  Ry and I have been talking about our basketball shoe collections and 90s hip hop music over the past few weeks.

Good morning everyone,

I'm so thankful that I received the PAWSitivity award from Mr. McLuckey. I am here to give the award to its next recipient. 

She always creates a PAWSitive classroom environment, whether it is virtual or in person. She deeply cares about her students, and she wants them to grow both academically and as people. She is passionate about meeting her students' socio-emotional needs and is always thinking of news way to support her students and make them feel heard. Last year, she had a "Wellness Cafe" on her Canvas page, where students could access mental health resources.
