ASAP - Mile 74 (Camp Fire Relief)

A Shoe Adoption Project Update - The worst wild fire in California history continues to devastate neighborhoods in Northern California. We are helping by donating 12 pairs of new shoes to those in need. My running friend Jim knows someone named Carlos who will be driving a trailer full of relief goods up north during the holiday seasons. Carlos has relatives who are displaced from their homes in the city of Magalia, just north of the city of Paradise. These new shoes will go to those in need and we hope the neighborhoods will quickly recover from this crisis.

Thank you to so many who have contributed to this donation, among others, I thank: Jim and Anna Powell, their friend Carlos, Angela and Tony, Coach Mario, and Betty Kuo. This donation is also inspired by and dedicated to the family of Shannon Prestella and their acts of kindness. We also acknowledge that the true heroes are those firefighters, first responders, and rescue crew members who have put in their efforts to help the local victims. Thank you to all of the donors, supporters, and friends of this charity project.

CIF Football Playoff 2018 Round 2

Congratulations to the Bonita HS Varsity Football Team for winning in the second round of CIF playoff game 45-40 over Hillcrest HS. The Bearcat student body showed up to support on a cold night. Multiple performance groups did a great job to keep the home crowd pumped up all night. (From 8/9/2018)
