After long days of walking as a teacher or long runs as a runner in training, these Oofos OOahh's are great recovery footwear. Thank you Betty for a great LAM training season. You are an amazing runner, and an even more generous person. You have inspired me to keep running hard and to do my best.

Thank You West Coast Runners 2018

I am very grateful to the West Coast Runners for celebrating with me last month. Track workouts are hard and I draw from the energy from these great friends to run these repeats. One kid came up that night and said to me "You're so lucky." I told him: "I know."  -Ricky

Thank you, Carolyn, for the beautiful cookies. They are so "difficult" to eat only because I treasure each one dearly as a piece of art. My friends from "The Breakfast Club" filled the acronym of Super Ricky.  I'm just a regular person who is super grateful, super blessed, and super spoiled by the wonderful people around me.

ASAP - Mile 67 (High School Athlete)

A Shoe Adoption Project Update - My running friend Tim coaches a local high school cross country team. One of his runners is a foster child who has gone through some hardship. Her participations in the cross country and track programs, along with the guidance of Coach Tim, have kept her focused academically. We hope this pair of trail shoes suits her running needs. I have offered Tim more shoes for this student for as long as she stays active in her school's athletics program. Thank you to all of the donors, supporters, and friends of this project.

Leo is everyone's friend in the local running community. I'm so glad to have met this wonderful friend. At the recent IERC banquet, Leo won the coveted customized anniversary blanket through a drawing. He generously gave it to a friend who he thought would treasure it more. This is one of the three customized gifts that Leo made for the Breakfast Club gathering last week. He made this for my birthday and two others for Carolyn (CC2) and Brent's upcoming trip to The Boston Marathon. Thank you Leo, you are a great man.

ASAP - Mile 66 (The Century Mark)

A Shoe Adoption Project Update - We delivered our latest batch of shoes late Thursday afternoon to the Foothill Family Shelter in Upland. These new shoes go to families in need with children from ages one to sixteen. With this donation, we surpassed the 100-pair mark. Also, I am currently working on getting our next donation to a foster student from a local high school track and cross country team. More to follow very soon. Battle of the Bands 2018

Seven student bands performed and entertained the crowd. We also had our teacher band "In Danger of Failing" close the show with an excellent set.

Thank You Anthony

Anthony gave me a "Golden" gift on Tuesday. I asked him what it is for, and he simply said it was "for everything." I'm so touched.  He painted a piece for me with my two passions as the theme: Running and Teaching. He incorporated The Fibonacci Sequence and The Golden Ratio into the image.
