My watch knows I'm old and need 92+ hours to recover. I went out at a comfortable pace on this cool morning. After the first 4-5 miles, I was still feeling pretty fresh as the climb began. I was conservative with the uphill, I probably walked more that I needed to. By conserving some energy, I was able to run the downhill and the last 5K with a much better pace compared to previous years. In all, I was over 15 minutes faster than my race last year.
