Pawsitivity Award #76

Good morning,

Thank you Maria!
I would like to pass the Pawsitivity award onto Chris Mayer. I appreciate his ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of students, from EL learners in his World History class to those in AP classes. The following are just a few examples of why Chris is deserving of this award:
1)      Strategizing and working out a “game plan” with a student who missed a few weeks of school due to mental health issues. The student felt that Mr. Mayer truly cared about him/her as a whole, not just academically
2)      Offering support and encouragement to a student who is debating whether to drop an AP course after a challenging test
3)      Providing valuable insight during department chair meetings in a way that welcomes discussion
Chris is not just a colleague but also a teacher I deeply respect. Thank you!

Veronica
