This was my first Long Beach Marathon in 17 years. I ran in 2007 and 2008 when I was a much younger and more inexperienced. I met my personal goal of avoiding cramps past mile 20. From mile 20 and beyond, I ran with a big smile on my face. Spectators must have thought that I was insane. Thank you to LRC friends who took time out of their weekends to come support LBHM/LBM runners. When I saw the LRC Gas Station this morning, all I felt was a deep sense of gratitude. Thank you. 🙏 And moments after I left the Gas Station, all I felt were my heavy quads. 😂 From 10/5/2025
